Biblically and historically significant, Jerusalem is an amazing city and the first stop for many travelers who head to Israel. One of the hot spots in Jerusalem is the Old City, which is divided into four sections: Christian, Jewish, Armenian, and Muslim. While a map won’t do you much good here, there are plenty of signs and friendly people to point you in the right direction to your destination.
When you fly and drive to Jerusalem, there are several must see places to visit, and one of them that tops the list is the Tower of David Museum. This place is a terrific way to learn the history of the city. The Shuck inside the Muslim area of Old City is a bustling area for vendors selling keepsakes and religious items for tourists. One might be able to imagine what it was like during Jesus’ time there. Possibly the most holy site in the world for Jews is the Western Wall in the Jewish area of Old City. This area is also home to the Mount of Olives.
The Kibbutzim Center of Israel around Jerusalem offers a variety of places to stay while visiting Israel including hotels in Israel and kibbutz hotels such as Neve Shalom, Ma’ale Hachamisha, Shoresh, and Ramat Rachel.
